Not every SOTM with have a Thin Cuts option.  You can tell which of our My Acrylix sets have dies and which shapes are included by looking for the shaded images on the catalog or website pictures.

All of the items in these colors are While Supplies Last. If you need the re-inker, grab it ASAP.   I have noticed that items are being restocked as the current stock sells out, but I don't know how long that will continue.  If you haven't noticed, a lot of things are selling out and then being restocked.  This is different than in years past.  I don't know if they are ordering smaller batches more often or what. Maybe the suppliers are shipping smaller batches as they are finished. Stamp Pads and reinkers come and go out of stock very quickly, so don't wait if you see one you need.

New Venture

There is a new consignment craft shop in Woodville called Pierce Design Studio.  It is located right on Main Street (#105). You can find my handmade cards there now and more items will be added soon.  

The hours planned will be: 

• Wed-Friday 10-6
• Sat 11-4

I will also be able to hold classes here!  My regular card buffet class is already scheduled for Friday, June 23 from 1-3:00 PM.  It will be the same plan (5 cards) and same price ($10).  Register and pre-pay through me or the shop.  Pictures of the cards coming soon!!

If you'd like to see other classes or a different, day/time, just let me or the shop know.  I only had one person reply to my request for feedback. :-(

Create - I dare you!

There's this thing that I've seen for years, loved, and never participated in.  It's called the Color My Heart Color Dare. A color palette is posted, and you are challenged to create artwork using these colors.  The "theme" runs for about two weeks, but they overlap so there are new winners every week.  You can follow the blog or Facebook page; it's a great source of ideas!

Today the stars aligned, and I remembered to check the theme before creating my March Masking Madness post. For Challenge #539, I used the colors in the first column:  Flamingo, Honey Butter, and Wisteria to create a fun spring card with two stamp sets:  Floral Sentiments and Spring Greetings.  Both are on sale as part of this month's Stamptacular sale.  Don't miss out, this special is more than halfway over and some Thin Cut sets have already sold out!

In addition to using the ink pads of the three colors, I also used a mat of Wisteria cardstock. And here's a bonus Tip for Tuesday, stamping in second (or third) generation gives you a lighter color and even more versatility.  If you are new to stamping, I suggest starting with the darker colors, since you can "lighten" them.

I used a masking technique on this card to leave a space open for the sentiment.  Be sure to follow me on Facebook so you don't miss any of my Tips on Tuesday. Floral Sentiments is a great set I need to use more often. Y'all know as the mother of boys I'm not big on floral stamp sets, but this set includes eight sentiments, a few that are less common than others.  This set reminds me of a special we had many years ago which featured flower building and endless opportunities for random stamped backgrounds, borders, and focused stamping. You don't need to purchase a workshop kit in order to download the directions. If you DO purchase a kit, you can find the instructions linked in your order history.

1. Login to my website.
2. Click on your name and go to ACCOUNT.
3. Click on ORDER HISTORY.
4. Click on the page icon to the right of the order.
5. Click on the red DOWNLOAD... line.
6. From there you can view, save, or print the directions.

Tip:  If I'm going to use different papers, I often make a note of which is which before cutting. I may even use colored pencils to make a visual reminder. (Sometimes I color them just to keep the front and back sides more obvious.)

Here is the layout I made using the design for one of the double page spreads from It's the Little Things scrapbooking workshop kit.  I substituted almost all of the products originally used (see below for list).

You can use the designs offered by CTMH for inspiration and to bust your stash of craft supplies.  It's much easier for me to find an item that's a close substitute than to start from scratch.  You'll see in this layout that I even used word stickers, hearts, and flowers like in the original.

Album Retreat Update!

After selling out of our February 2023 Album Retreat, the Corporate Office has received many requests to take additional orders for this bundle. YIPPEE!! they are making this bundle available again starting at 3:00 pm (MST) on Monday, January 9 through 11:59 pm (MST) on Friday, January 13. The bundle will be available on a pre-order basis.

After ordering closes on January 13, kits will be prepared to fulfill the orders placed. It will take approximately 4 weeks to prepare these kits and ship them. This extended turn-around time is required because of the work that it takes to pre-cut the kits for the event. While this means that these pre-ordered kits will not arrive in time for the live event, anyone who places a pre-order will still be able to join the Facebook group, where they can still watch the live event, and then create along with the recording of the event, which will remain on the page indefinitely.

NOTE:  Pre-ordered kits will also have two product substitutions: the Seabrook Shimmer Trim will be replaced by Silver Shimmer trim, and the Blue Dots will be replaced by the Orange & Yellow Dots. Both substitutions have been tested in the artwork with good results.

We are happy to see such strong interest in our upcoming Album Retreat, and we hope that offering this pre-order opportunity will help anyone who had not yet had the opportunity to order the Album Retreat kit before it sold out.
